I finally got days off. Friday was my first day off since January 3rd, and I took it and ran with it. It felt soon good. Now I’m sitting here on Sunday morning kind of wishing I had just one more day off to finish resting up before head off to work, but alas, it’s Sunday, it’s God’s day and church must happen.
I got two calls last night, both of which took far longer than normal. I ended up talking to my mother for the better part of three hours. Then a friend from graduate school called. I haven’t talked to him since I got married. We spent over half an hour catching up. It was great! I definitely need to do this more often. It kind of felt like I had actual friends.
Other than that, I’ve been writing up a storm. I hit 30k in Grace through Redemption, which is usually my slowing point. I don’t know why, but for some reason in almost every novel, I hit 30k works and then next ten thousand are a huge struggle. It’s only not happened twice. So I’m pushing through it.
Here’s my update for today.
- write 1667 words a day
- Wednesday – 3797
- Thursday – 2631
- Friday – 3775
- Saturday – 4470
- Blog posts each week:ROW80,WIPpet, Open When, and 1 extra post
- I got all posts done except Open When yesterday…but I had two of them this week since I’m still catching up from November, so it’s not that big of a deal. I’ll just posted a second on in this coming week on Tuesday.
- Audio: Record/Edit a chapter a week
- I’ve not done the recording. But my speakers in my computer are miraculously working again…I don’t trust it.
Good going on the writing goals! I know what it’s like, having computer peripherals magically come back to life like that…
Its weird. But it works for now so not complaining
That is impressive. I have not set word number goals, but do admire you for meeting yours.
I like word count better than time. Because its easier for me to keep track of
It’s awesome that you spent so long talking with your mom. My mom is super busy working right now and we don’t get to talk as much as I would like. It looks like you are really killing it on the writing goals. Even during NaNoWriMo I struggle to write half that many words in one day. Good luck on your goals from a ROW80 blog hopping friend.
Yeah. It was nice to talk to her that long. We dont do it near often enough.
Thanks! You too!
Very impressive word counts, indeed! Kudos! I’m back to blogging on Steph Nickel’s Eclectic Interest. I was doing great keeping up with guest posts, but tending to my own site was a challenge. I’m back at it now that I’ve figured out themes for M, W, and F. Anyhoo, keep on keepin’ on. I hope the next 10K words aren’t as big a challenge as usual. TTFN
They already have. 2k to 40k words.
