Good morning! I only have about negative 5 minutes to write this before I have to run off to add day churchy stuff, but I’m here writing it.
Right now I’m juggling day job stuffs, release day for TWO things stuff, and maybe writing and editing stuffs but not really very well. If you missed my last blog post, I had two things release on the 1st. One is a full length novel, my first romance, and the second is a short story in an anthology.
My romance novel, Memoir in the Making, has been ranked in the top 35ish on Amazon since its release. w00t!! And I have a week long release party to go with it, and all I can say, is thank God for my PA Amber. I don’t know what I’d be doing without here right about now. Probably running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
So in light of that. I’ve been slacking a bit on my ROW80 goodness. BUT! I did finish Camp NaNo on the last day of Camp, but I finished with 51186 words in Lost & Forsaken. I started 15 days in, so I didn’t quite expect to actually finish on time.
1. Write 3k words a day on Lost & Forsaken until finished.
Wednesday: 2764
Thursday: 3749
Friday: 0
Saturday: 0
2. Edit 2 chapters a day on Her Run for Rachael
3. Edit 2 chapters a day on shorts for Kaden
DONE! I finished this on Thursday and sent them back to her. I started in on my next copy edit, “Emily: Stepping Stones #1” by Jasmine Lee. Goal is 2 chapters a day until I finish and to finish before I have to drive down to Texas. I edited Friday but not Saturday, and I’m not sure if I’ll have time to do it today.
4. Edit 1 chapter a day on Unbound: Book One of Quarter Life which is my own thing that’s supposed to be coming out in Oct.
I haven’t done this at all. Hopefully soon!
If you want to check out my new releases. They be here
Memoir in the Making
Young Love, Old Hearts anthology featuring A Blizzard’s Blow
Or better yet! Come join in the awesome fun at the week long release party with tons of amazing romance authors joining in. That’s over here.
I think you’re doing great, despite slacking a bit on the RoW80 goals. It’s often impossible to keep all goals advancing at the same rate, and the CampNaNo word count definitely makes up for losses on other goals.
Hope you find more than negative five minutes soon–weeks like that are exhausting!
They are. This whole week has been like that and I anticipate this coming one will be like that
Congratulations on your releases! That’s excellent and totally enough to be distracting. 🙂 And *high five* on finishing Camp NaNo!
Thanks!!
