*waves* It’s #WIPpet Wednesday! And I’m back!

So it’s certainly been awhile, but I’m slowly getting back on the band wagon. I spent the summer traveling and sick (more on that later), but I’m getting back on my feet, so long as people stop dying around here and I stop presiding at funerals.

I’m running low on time this morning, but I’ll be back to check in on everyone I’ve missed in so many months!

Update since I last posted?

I finished edits on Unbound: Quarter Life #1, which releases in October.
I’m in the process of doing edits for Deathscape, a short story accepted by Less Than Three Press and due out sometime in 2016.
I’m working on beta edits for Lost & Forsaken: Missing Persons #1 — A Detective Grace Novel due out in June 2016.
I’m working on a print proof for For by Grace (Spirit of Grace #1).
I’m waiting on publisher edits of Grace through Redemption (Spirit of Grace #3) due out in December.

So yeah, I’m overloaded on editing right now and really doing no writing, but hopefully soon. I’ve still got a lot going on this year and next.

For my WIPpet today. I’m sharing from chapter two of Lost & Forsaken as I go through and do my own edits. I’ll probably switch to whatever I’m writing as soon as I start writing again (which I swear will be soon because I need it!). Today you get 6 lines from ch 2, because 6 + 2 = 8 for the month of August!! For minor, minor context, the third person talking is Crystal, Grace’s BFF.

As soon as the waiter left, Amya lifted her hand and turned Grace’s face to hers. Grace smiled, and Amya pressed their lips together, swiping her tongue through Grace’s mouth. Grace groaned again and deepened the embrace for a moment before pulling back.

“That is good,” Amya said, wiping two fingers along her lips.

“You guys are…”

“Adorable?” Amya supplied.

“Sickening?” Grace said.

“Yeah…both of those at the same time.”
